INTRODUCTION
DAY 1
Pokhara, adventure awaits.
On your first day, you will arrive at the heart of Nepal, Kathmandu. This is the start of our Nepal adventure. Kathmandu is the most populous city in Nepal and is situated in a hilly region roughly 4344 feet above sea level. Fun fact: It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited places in the world. From Durbar Square to Pashupatinath, Kathmandu is filled to the brim with world heritage sites. Trekking is an amazing part of Nepal adventure. If you plan to go on a hike later on, don’t forget to visit Thamel to stock up on trekking gear. From Kathmandu, you will travel to Pokhara via bus, train, car, plane, or even a ferry. Pokhara, a city established on the bank of the Phewa Lake, is known for its serene natural beauty and vivid nightlife. From its stunning lakes, expansive local markets, and local cuisine to an exotic view of the Annapurna range from atop a pagoda in the mountains, Pokhara is the perfect start for your tour of Nepal. After reaching Pokhara, check in at the designated hotel, unwind, and prepare to bask in its nightlife.
DAY 2
Away to Jomsom
Next, you will fly to Jomsom, a town near the mountains. Look out the window for the incredible Annapurna mountains on the way! Second day of Nepal Adventure begins with that Mountain view. Check in at the hotel and take a break before heading out to explore Jomsom itself. Today you'll be setting out for Marpha, the apple capital of Nepal. Walk around town, see the amazing mountains, and visit heritage sites, or perhaps Walk through the lush apple orchards, especially during spring when the trees are in full bloom or during autumn when the harvest takes place. In Jomsom, you'll find a mix of exploration and spirituality. You will be staying in Jomsom for 2 days, so it's better if you take it slow on the first day there and relax a bit. At the end of your second day of the tour, return to your hotel, rest well, and prepare for your next adventure.
Day 3
Plenty to see
I hope you’re well rested because today you are going sightseeing! The main destination on your third day is the Mukhtinath temple, a place of great religious significance for both Hindus and Buddhists. Located in the Muktinath Valley at the foot of the Thorong La mountain pass in Mustang, Nepal, it is one of the world's highest temples, sitting at an elevation of 3,762 meters. While you're there, don't forget to see the golden statue of Vishnu as Shri Mukti Narayana in the temple complex. If you still have time on your hands, you can take a cab to Dhumba Lake, or better yet, strap in your boots and trek there. The Dhumba Lake is relatively small in size, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for it in looks and character. The lake is considered sacred by Buddhists and Hindus alike. A small Buddhist monastery rests near the lake, adding to the spiritual ambiance. There's a local legend that says the lake once turned red, but a Buddhist monk performed rituals and turned it back to its natural color. Enjoy its majesty to the fullest, but don’t even think about fishing there. Due to its religious significance, fishing is strictly prohibited. If you're still not satisfied, you can also visit the Rupse Falls, a majestic waterfall located in Myagdi District in western Nepal. It stands tall at an impressive height of 300 meters. The cascading waters of Rupse Falls plunge down a series of cliffs, creating a breathtaking spectacle. Third day of your Nepal Adventure ends here. Take a rest and get ready for tomorrow.
DAY 4
Tactical retreat
It's time to fly back to Pokhara and take one last look at the serene Annapurna on your way. Take this opportunity to relax amidst your adventuring, or double down and explore Pokhara as much as you can. Visit the local theme park, do some shopping, and go paragliding. You should have plenty of time on your hands, so do everything you couldn’t do on your first arrival. Enjoy the Nepal Adventure or relax. There are a lot of things the city has to offer, so take in as much as you possibly can.
DAY 5
To be a Romantic
On your fourth day, take a break from city life and head on over to Dhampus, a tranquil village firmly attached to nature. It's about a 4-5 hour ride from Porkhara, and you should take this time to truly admire the natural beauty of Nepal. A remembering Nepal adventure. Once you arrive at Dhampus, check in at the hotel and put on your trekking shoes. Dhampus is the perfect place to take a hike. Trek through lush forests and rolling hills, see the beautiful sunset over the mountains, and just enjoy the peacefulness. It is truly a place like no other, and words simply cannot describe how beautiful it truly is.
Day 6
A city rich in history
On day 5, you will be on your way from Dhampus to Bandipur, a town with a long history, traditional architecture, and a unique culture. If you look closely enough, you might even get a peek into the rich history of Bandipur preserved in its architecture. After checking in and resting at the hotel, you will be free to explore the narrow streets lined with old, colorful houses, temples, and hidden courtyards. Don’t forget to dine at roadside restaurants and cafés to soak up the local vibrancy before heading back to the hotel for a good night’s sleep. The next morning, you will be going back to Kathmandu. Get ready for tomorrow's Nepal Adventure.
Day 7
To the Capital
Sadly, the tour is almost over, so on your 7th day, try to do all the things that you may have missed. Hopefully, by now, you know what you want from your Nepal Adventure. If not, then that’s fine as well. In Kathmandu, we'll visit Thamel. If you have been here on your first day, great; if not, even better. Thamel is the tourist hub of Kathmandu, a bustling maze of narrow streets lined with shops, restaurants, and cafes. Here, you can find souvenirs, outdoor clothing, and all sorts of interesting trinkets. Don't forget to indulge in some delicious street food! This is also the time to indulge in some of Nepal’s most famous dishes, like Thukpa, Sekuwa, Choila, Momos, and many more. Kathmandu can be overwhelming; there is simply too much to experience in the city. Take your time and explore at your own pace.
Day 8
All good things must come to an end.
At this point, you have probably had your fill of Nepal. On the 8th day, you will depart from Kathmandu. Make sure all of your belongings are in order and rest up at the hotel before heading back home. An amazing Nepal Adventure ends here.
